About

My name is Juan Ortiz Ceballos, and I am a wildlife and landscape photographer living in Vancouver Canada.

For the past 10 years, I have been refining my craft while seeking to photograph the beautiful and incredible wildlife that populates our planet. I have been blessed with travels throughout Africa, Europe, North America and even to the wonderful continent of South America. Assisting me in my travels is my love for languages, and being fluent in French, Spanish and English has certainly helped me in my interactions with the people of the world.

Although we live in a modern world full of AI and Photoshop, I love to keep my editing minimalistic using only Adobe Lightroom to craft my art tastefully while keeping true to the reality of our natural world. I love sharing through my art how I see the animal kingdom, and I especially enjoy putting my camera down and taking in the moment whenever I can.

As the pandemic began and my ability to practice my craft in the field grew limited, I decided to further supplement my knowledge by completing and receiving the Professional Photography Course certificate with the New York Institute Of Photography. It was during this period that I decided to move into the incredible world of cinematography as well, leading to my decision to pause my travels and enrol in the Vancouver Film School Film Production program, which I will be graduating in mid-August 2024.

Recently I have been honoured to have participated in my first two photo festivals, the first being the Trieste International Photo Days Festival in Italy, as well as the CIP Festival in Greece, and I was also published with my section in the "71% The State Of Water" book.

I thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me, and hope you've enjoyed my art!
